Manchester Work Clubs are delighted to announce a series of upcoming Pre-Recruitment Training courses in partnership with TfGM.

The recruitment team from TfGM will also be on hand at the Assessment Day to answer any questions you might have about the exciting opportunities they have available.

Pre-Employment Training Dates

Central Manchester – Assessment at The Works, Delivery at Hyde Road Metroline Depot

Assessment Day: Monday 24th August

Course Start: Wednesday 26th August

Course End: Monday 14th September

Bolton – Bolton Interchange 

Assessment Day: Tuesday 25th August

Course Start: Thursday 27th August

Course End: Tuesday 15th September

Stockport – Stockport Interchange 

Assessment Day: Thursday 17th September

Course Start: Monday 21st September

Course End: Wednesday 7th October

After successfully completing the 13-day programme, you’ll receive a guaranteed interview with

Transport for Greater Manchester for Customer Service vacancies based at various bus interchanges across Greater Manchester. The roles they are recruiting for are as follows:

Utility Officer

Career graded Band 5/6 starting salary £31,762 plus 15% shift allowance – A flexible role providing cover across multiple operational positions, including site coordinator, Ticket and information Assistant and Operational Assistant at locations across Greater Manchester.

Bee Network Customer Service Assistant

Band 4 starting salary of £29,836 plus either 12.5% or 15% shift allowance depending on shift pattern – Acts as a visible frontline presence across the network, assisting customers with journey planning, lost property, and service information.

Site Coordinator

Career graded Band 5/6 starting salary £31,762 plus 15% shift allowance – Oversees the day-to-day operation of bus stations and interchanges, preforming regular checks and ensuring sites are safe, well managed and provide a high-quality experience for customers.

Eligibility (open to all who meet the below criteria):

Must be unemployed,19+ (on date of course start) and claiming a benefit at present.

We can take those in employment if they are earning less than £26,800

Please note, we can only consider those with a minimum written and spoken English level of Entry 3.
